– OUR MISSION –

To connect with our clients and offer strong continuity in our products, services and worth!

What we do

We’re a trade printer based on the Sunshine Coast. We pride ourselves on ensuring confidentiality for our clients. We print a wide range of products using our large flatbed printer, capable of printing on almost any surface!  Wide format digital printing is where we specialise, up to 3.2 metres wide, length dependent on media, generally a maximum of 50 metres. Up to 200 metres with our new Canon Colorado 1650 installed May, 2020.

Packaging and point of sale displays are our latest addition and we’re enjoying working with customers for their packaging needs. Router & Laser cut is also performed onsite for any 3D logo and lettering needs. Custom orders are encouraged! We like nothing more than a good brainstorming session to land at the most fitting outcome.

What is a trade only printer? Our customers are other printing companies who order custom goods from us at wholesale prices. We also deal with print managers, marketing and advertising companies, graphic designers & installers.

Our customers are a large mix. Here’s just a few :

  •  owner / operators who don’t have the capacity, equipment, skill or time and a mix of all of those things
  • print companies with custom orders or specialised substrate requests
  • installers and print managers who don’t produce anything themselves so we do it for them
  • advertising gurus managing  international brands who need everything from banners, refits and point of sale table displays
  • retail giants needing bulk orders for national distribution
  • …and everything in between

We’re Here To Help

We understand that not all projects are the same. Some will require the use of a combination of substrates. Feel free to get in touch if you’re not certain of the best suited products for your event or project.

Likewise if you’re setting up artwork for custom laser/router cutting, please contact us. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you!

– MEET OUR SUPER HEROS –

Yes Man | Jon

You name it!

The saying “Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one” couldn’t be more accurate working for Jon Ballard. Jon has been working in the industry since the olden days and his mind is the matrix of all things print.

Jon operates on integrity and old school business relationships. This holds true with the calibre of repeat & regular customers he has looked after for years, even after trying to semi-retire once, as well as the many new clients recommended to use his experienced and knowledgeable expertise, technology and craftsmanship.

Jon started his apprenticeship under the guidance of a strict teacher who he still admires today, sharing the same work ethic and drive, back in the day where your pay was docked for mistakes. He’s worked in the UK for RIchard Branson’s Virgin Records, worked his way up through the ranks from apprentice and all old school manual labour, owned other print business, tried his hand in other industries over time but now operates a deceivingly compact but smooth operation that cranks out so much work we are often working to physical capacity; Jon did good for a kid from the outskirts of Rockhampton, Qld.

Dressed in a different shirt each day, think ‘Sheldon’ when it comes to his love of Star Wars, Avengers, Marvel, Comic-con and the like. Nothing comes close to how he adores his family though.

As the only team member who can operate the entire business, you’ll find him working between production, helping a customer, sourcing hard to find substrate, helping to organise installations, Azz nagging him in the office, packing, lasering…..he could be anywhere so if you need him it’s always best to ring the office on (07) 5445 2965.

The Gatekeeper | Aroha (Azz)

Details Department

Aroha’s entire working career has been organising people, paperwork and money. If you’re a current client reading this she’s probably already retrained you to help get your jobs organised for quicker production. Or, according to Jon, she’s probably nagged you into submission with her simple “print this, on that” philosophy. Aroha truly sees herself as part of our customer’s team, which extends to our suppliers being part of ours.

Every job is important. Every customer is important. Every customer also thinks they are the most important so at times with many conflicting priorities it’s her level head that keeps us organised & customers happy.

Taking orders not being a top quality of hers, Aroha was a contract business administrative & financial management consultant for years before working here so she didn’t have anyone bossing her around. She treats this business like her own. All past experience & the miriad of industries she’s worked in has certainly come in handy.

Family matters most to Aroha, making the most of the years left with two teenagers who still think she’s cool enough to hang out with while counting the sleeps until her FIFO husband returns home each shift.

Baby D | Dan

Production Assistant

Dan came to us from the chilly south of Victoria to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in 2019. His experience in the print industry includes discretion & trust with financial institutions. Precision was key, as it is here and we noticed straight away how Dan’s OCD is akin to Jon’s; from how clean everything is during and after a job is complete, to our customers receiving finished goods wrapped like a Christmas gift.

As well as print, Dan’s life experience as a dancer has enhanced the morale of Production with his music always a constant, discussing lyrics in between router jobs as well as Jon’s critique of subtle dance moves as he moves around the building.

Dan’s a good guy and we hope our next team member is like Dan, so much so that they too can tolerate Jon’s Dad jokes.

Dan has no idea he’s featured on our About Us page and until he does we will continue to make things up about him to our benefit.

You?

Production / Pre-Press

We have re-evaluated our requirements for production and Pre-Press assistance since COVID and made changes to the business structure that will see the need for extra staff soon.

We usually have staff in Pre-Press who look after customer’s artwork, using best practices to avoid waste, some graphic design, operate the laser & cutter, as well as assist in Production & packing.

We have procedures in place now whereby our customer’s are so organised, as long as they work on the premise of “print this, on that” by giving us all the information we need along with a print ready file, we will focus on needing more production assistant staff.

If you have experience in the printing industry we’d love to hear from you. All we ask is for open communication, integrity, honesty, hard work multi tasking and able to balance conflicting priorities and jobs all day, every day. We love a happy demeanour and you must be tolerant of Jon’s Dad jokes.
